To make it easier for our viewers and readers to find the best power station for their needs, we wanted to highlight the units that actually impressed us in 2025. Not only are these the small power stations that performed really well, we think they’re priced right, and actually make sense for real-world use.
While all of these units would be classed as small power stations, we’ve broken our list down into three main categories: power stations with a battery capacity under 500Wh, under 1,000Wh, and under 2,000Wh.

If you need something for weekend camping and road trips, or you just want a portable way to charge laptops, phones, camera gear, or the odd 12V accessory, a power station with a battery under 500Wh hits the sweet spot.
Not only are they highly portable, they’re usually very budget and user-friendly. Here’s our top picks in this category:
The Anker SOLIX C300X was on last year’s list of the best portable power stations, and it easily earns its spot again this year. We recommend it all of the time, and it remains one of our favourite ultra-compact power stations.
The Anker C300X only weighs 9 lbs, but for such a small unit, it delivers a lot of practical features and great performance. You get three 120V AC outlets, multiple USB-C ports, including a 140W bidirectional port, a USB-A, and a 12V car socket.
It can also be charged with solar power, and features a built-in top light, making it an ideal companion for weekend camping trips or light home backup.
Anker also sells a cheaper, DC-only version called the Anker SOLIX C300 DC, which is ideal for people who don’t need the AC plugs. Since it doesn’t have a built-in inverter, that one technically isn't a full “power station,” but it’s still great value for charging stuff like phones and laptops.
As for pricing on the Anker C300X, it usually lands around the $200 mark, making it one of the best deals in the sub-500Wh size. And with our discount code (TSL20), it’s even cheaper.

EcoFlow surprised us with one of the cleverest small-station ideas we've seen in a long time: a removable wireless phone charger built right into the top of the unit.
This detachable power brick holds its own charge, meaning you can take it around camp while the main power station stays put. Both the station and the power brick also recharge together whenever you plug the unit into a wall or solar panel.
To make things even easier, EcoFlow also added a kickstand to the wireless charger and included a built-in cable you can use to charge your devices.
While that feature kind of steals the show, the EcoFlow River 3 Plus Power Station that this wireless version is based off of was already a respectable unit. The power station itself gives you front and rear AC outlets, a 12V port, some USB-A and USB-C ports, and a camping light.
The layout isn’t perfect, and the decision to put a few of the outlets on the back of the power station can be awkward, but overall, this is one of the most innovative and practical small units of the year.
At around $280, and with availability at Costco, it’s a very solid buy, even for those who aren’t overly interested in portable power stations.

If you want something more suitable for light home backup, weekend-long camping, van life, or running your fridge plus a couple small appliances during a blackout, this category is where the real versatility starts.
They’re not quite as backpack-friendly as the units above, but they’re still really affordable, and they pack a lot more power. Here’s our favorites:
The Pecron E1000LFP is our runaway choice for best budget unit in the 1kWh class. It consistently sells for around $350, but it delivers an expandable 1,024Wh battery and an inverter that can put out 1,800W, which is a higher continuous output than a lot of power stations in the 2kWh category.
Pecron also lets you expand the system by connecting a massive 3,072Wh EP3000 Expansion Battery, giving you a total capacity of just over 4kWh for under $1,000, which is absurd value.
The unit itself also has a good display screen, a ton of ports, a physical power button (surprisingly rare), and a portable, 29-pound build. The large inverter makes it ideal for running multiple appliances at the same time, including stuff like a fridge, toaster, or coffee maker, even if the base battery alone isn’t meant for multi-day backup.
Overall, it offers incredible value, and the expandability make it a great option for anyone looking for a cheap power station that can grow with them.

The Anker C800X is easily one of our favourite mid-sized power stations, mostly because Anker built something no one else had the courage to try: an integrated set of pop-out camping lights.
These lights attach to an included pole magnetically, which can then be extend to about three feet in the air. The included lights also automatically recharge when you put them inside the power station’s top hatch. To make things even cooler, they even offer multiple brightness modes. During power outages or use at an off grid campsite, this feature is undeniably useful, as well as genuinely fun.
The unit itself is no slouch either, and it delivers surprisingly strong specs for such a small power station, including a 768Wh battery, 1,200W inverter, extremely fast AC charging (0–100% in under an hour), plenty of AC outlets, and the usual USB-C, USB-A, and 12V ports.
With discounts, it typically comes in right around $500. At that price, it’s an absolute steal. Honestly, it delivers some really practical features, and there just isn’t really anything to dislike about it.

Bluetti made a bit of a comeback this year, and the Elite 100 V2 was the first Bluetti power station that impressed us in 2025.
This unit packs a 1,024Wh battery, which impressed us with its excellent efficiency rating of 80% (very high for this size). You then get a 1,000W solar input that pretty much matches its total battery capacity. In other words, you can fully charge it from zero to full in about an hour with solar panels alone.
It also has low idle consumption and Bluetti designed it with every port on the front, which is incredibly convenient if you have it against a wall or in the back of your vehicle. Given it only weighs 25 lbs and has a really solid feel, the physical build of the Bluetti 100 V2 is also very practical for off grid camping.
With our code, it usually lands near $380, putting it in the same price range as Pecron’s E1000. While the E1000 is a great unit, Bluetti is usually seen as a more premium brand, so the Elite 100 V2 is a bit of a steal.

DJI surprised us last year by stepping into the portable power industry. If you’re unfamiliar with the DJI brand, they’re a major player in the global drone market, but they also just have a solid reputation for making high-quality gear.
And, if you already own DJI drones or camera gear, the DJI Power 1000 is pretty much the dream scenario. It includes SDC ports that let you charge DJI drones directly, and DJI sells SDC adapters for solar or 12V charging.
The inverter is extremely capable at 2,200W, and the unit itself is ridiculously quiet. Seriously, it’s one of the quietest power stations we’ve ever tested, and is pretty much silent, even when you’re pushing it to its limits.
If you need more storage capacity, DJI offers a new DJI Expansion Battery 2000, which has a capacity of 2,048Wh. You have the option to connect the Power 1000 with up to five of these batteries, giving you a total storage capacity of over 11 kWh!
If you want something a little smaller, or your budget won’t quite stretch far enough for the Power 1000, they also released the DJI Power 500 alongside this unit. It’s just as quiet and has a lot of great features, but comes in at a more budget-friendly price.
Thanks to a crazy number of accessories, both the Power 500 and Power 1000 are also very upgradable within DJI's broader ecosystem. For creators, videographers, or pretty much anyone else who needs reliable, quiet, compact power, these are undoubtedly some of the best power stations in their respective classes.

This size class is ideal for running essential home loads for about a day, off-grid camping, RVs, trailers, and backup power. Once you bump up to the 2kWh range, you can also start to really lean into solar to get you through a day or two of off grid power.

When we said Bluetti made a big comeback this year, we meant it. The Bluetti Elite 200 V2 is not just a good power station, it’s genuinely one of the most impressive units tested this year.
During our tests, it delivered an unbelievable 94% efficiency, making it one of the most efficient power stations we’ve ever worked with. It also has an extremely low idle consumption at just 9W.
The unit packs a 2,073Wh battery, a 2,600W inverter, and a compact design without unnecessary gimmicks. Given it’s usually available for under $800, the performance-per-dollar ratio is unmatched. If raw numbers matter more to you than fancy features, this unit has to be on your shortlist.

The Anker C2000 Gen 2 is a brand-new release, but we’re really glad we were able to include it on this list, as it might just be one of Anker’s strongest designs yet. They released the C1000 Gen 2 earlier in the year, but the bigger of the two power stations is the one that really blew us away.
It features a clean modern display, over a dozen AC outlets, a 30A RV plug (not full 30A, but still RV-friendly), an expansion port for an additional battery, a 12V output, and absurdly fast AC charging.
The solar input isn’t quite as impressive as we wanted it to be, but in every other category it more than holds its own. Even the display screen and app are very user-friendly.
However, what truly sets Anker apart is their customer support, which consistently beats EcoFlow, Jackery, and pretty much every other major brand we’ve mystery-shopped. At under $800 with our discount code, the C2000 Gen 2 is a highly reliable pick for home backup, camping, or RV use.

Yes, the DELTA 2 Max is older. Yes, ours had dust on it when we pulled it out. But it’s still one of the best 2kWh class power stations you can buy.
EcoFlow’s more recent DELTA 3 lineup looks a lot nicer than this older unit, but some of them offer worse specifications and less practical designs. Take the DELTA 3 Max, which you’d assume would be better than the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max, but it’s non-expandable, features fewer AC ports, and has a lower solar input.
Even years after its release, the DELTA 2 Max remains a dependable, well-rounded powerhouse. It has two expansion ports, six AC outlets, a 12V socket, tons of USB options, rubber bump stops, and excellent everyday performance.
It’s a perfect representation of when the EcoFlow brand was at their peak. For a much lower price than when it was first dropped, you get a practical, thoughtfully designed, and highly capable power station.
If you want reliability over a more aesthetically pleasing design, you can’t ignore this classic. Honestly, an argument could be made that this is the best portable power station in its class three years running!
