Pecron E3600LFP vs. EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3: Which Power Station Wins?

The Pecron E3600LFP and the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 are two similarly sized high-capacity power stations that occupy very different price ranges.

On paper, EcoFlow brings brand prestige and the performance edge, but Pecron has a secret advantage that flips the script for buyers who know how to play the game.

In this "This or That" showdown, we throw them both in the ring to see how they stack up against each other. So, let’s see which of these units is actually worth your hard-earned money by breaking them down category by category.

Battery Capacity: EcoFlow’s Early Edge

First up, it’s a pretty easy win for the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3. Its 4,000Wh battery can plainly hold more power than what you get with the Pecron E3600LFP, which has a 3,072Wh storage capacity.

It may not sound like a huge difference, but having nearly 1,000Wh of extra power is pretty much enough to keep a refrigerator running for a full day. If you’re facing a lengthy blackout, that could mean the difference between all of your food spoiling or not.

EcoFlow takes the first point.

Score: EcoFlow 1 – Pecron 0

Inverter Output: More Power and 240V Capabilities

EcoFlow comes in strong again with its 4,000W inverter, while the Pecron E3600’s inverter unsurprisingly tops out at 3,600W.

The difference won’t change your life, but it does give EcoFlow a little more headroom for heavy appliances.

But more importantly, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 can run 240V straight out the box from a single unit. If you go with Pecron, you’ll need two E3600 units and the 240V Hub to achieve the same 120/240V split-phase capabilities. Unit-to-unit, EcoFlow wins again.

Since the inverter is not only more powerful, it also supports that 240V capability, we’re going to give EcoFlow two points this round.

Score: EcoFlow 3 – Pecron 0

Surge Handling: Pecron Fights Back

Neither of these units is going to surge like a beast, but in our tests, Pecron handled peak loads a little better. If you accidentally overload that 3,600W inverter, you won’t have to worry about it shutting off.

The test results weren’t night and day, and Pecron kind of just shaded it, but it was enough to swing the point.

Score: EcoFlow 3 – Pecron 1

Solar Charging: Numbers vs. Balance

The DELTA Pro 3 has a 2,600W solar input, while the Pecron E3600 has a slightly lower 2,400W solar input.

On paper, the EcoFlow power station has the higher input, so you’d assume it would win this round. However, relative to their battery sizes, the Pecron power station will actually charge faster and use its solar input more efficiently.

For real-world usability, Pecron wins our solar charging showdown.

Score: EcoFlow 3 – Pecron 2

AC Wall Charging: EcoFlow’s Advantage

Both have an AC input of 1,800W, but the DELTA Pro 3 takes things a little further because it also has a 240V gas generator adapter, which means you get more flexibility.

You can also dual AC charge with the generator input and the standard wall plug input pulling power simultaneously.

If both units are just plugged into a standard 120V house outlet, they’ll charge at the same speed, but that extra flexibility means EcoFlow takes this round.

Score: EcoFlow 4 – Pecron 2

Noise Levels: A Clear Winner

As with other EcoFlow power stations, like the DELTA Pro Ultra, the DELTA Pro 3 is dead quiet.

The Pecron 3600? Think more like a grumbling beehive, especially when it’s powering a demanding load. If you’re planning to choose one of these for backup power inside your home, silence matters. EcoFlow easily takes this point.

Score: EcoFlow 5 – Pecron 2

Output Ports and Functionality: EcoFlow by a Plug

When it comes to output ports and plugs, these units are really similar. Both offer:

  • 4 × 120V outlets
  • 1 x 30A plug
  • 2 × USB-A and 2 × USB-C

Pecron adds barrel connectors, but EcoFlow includes a dedicated 240V outlet.

The display screens and UPS functionality are solid on both units, so there’s no real difference there. However, that 240V outlet could be incredibly helpful for some users.

This category was close, but we have to say the EcoFlow power station wins here.

Design and Aesthetics: The DELTA Pro 3 is a Looker

EcoFlow power stations usually look pretty sleek and premium, and the DELTA Pro 3 is no exception.

With seamlessly molded hard plastics and styling that wouldn’t look out of place in an Apple store, it has a modern look that would fit into any home. This really wasn’t a big surprise, as the entire EcoFlow brand is built around creating premium products that catch the eye.

By contrast, Pecron power stations usually have a more utilitarian design and appearance. The rubber bumpers and hard rectangular body might look alright in a garage or workshop, but for home and RV use, EcoFlow’s design wins this with ease.

Expandability and Portability: Split Decision

The storage capacity of both units can be increased cleanly by purchasing expansion batteries. For both units, the expansion batteries also match the design of the main unit, giving you a compact and clean look.

When it comes to how portable each power station is, The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3’s built-in handle and wheels are pretty tough to beat.

Now, Pecron does sell a hand cart for the E3600LFP, but it’s an add-on you need to pay extra for. It’s not expensive, but it still can’t compete with having those features built into the design of the unit itself.

EcoFlow gets the portability point.

But here’s where Pecron claws back a point of their own: The Pecron E3600 has a maximum expansion capacity of 15,400Wh, or 15.4kWh. On the other hand, the DELTA Pro 3 can only be expanded to a maximum capacity of 12,000Wh, or 12kWh.

So, the EcoFlow power station might have a higher capacity out of the box, but you have the potential to expand your Pecron E3600 to a higher total capacity.

EcoFlow takes the portability point, but that extra storage capacity potential earns Pecron the expandability point. One point each.

Customer Support: A Mediocre Tie

We’ve called customer support for both EcoFlow and Pecron plenty of times. Honestly, neither brand has ever really impressed us. We’ve even mystery shopped EcoFlow, and both their customer and tech support left a lot to be desired.

When you call either brand, they’ll answer the phone, and it is a real person instead of AI or a recording, but it almost feels like you’re just talking to a warm body, rather than a trained specialist.

Hopefully this changes, but for right now, EcoFlow and Pecron both have pretty underwhelming support. A disappointing tie, so we’re not even going to award any points here.

Score: EcoFlow 8 – Pecron 3

Price Comparison: No Contest

This is probably the easiest category to call. The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is going to cost you around $2,799, while the Pecron E3600LFP comes in at a really budget-friendly price of just $1,399.

That price is also the MSRP, so it’s outside of any sort of sale, and doesn’t include adding any sort of savings you’d get with a discount code!

We’re talking nearly half the cost for the Pecron unit. In today’s economy, that’s massive. There’s a reason we’ve been saying the E3600 is one of the best budget power stations out there. Pecron gets a well-deserved point.

Score: EcoFlow 8 – Pecron 4

Robbie’s Rants and Requirements

If you’re familiar with our power station reviews, you’ll know that there are a few features Robbie obsesses over. One of them is a built-in light, which neither power station has.

The other is the ability to power 12V DC camping and RV accessories. Luckily, the Pecron E3600 has a built-in 12V car socket. Not only does that keep Robbie happy, it’s great for those wanting to take this unit off-grid, or even just run more efficient appliances for backup purposes, like a 12V mini fridge. Pecron wins the point.

The Big Twist: Pecron’s Cheat Code

Here’s where Pecron flips the script. For $2,898 (just about the cost of a single EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3), you have the option to buy a bundle that includes TWO Pecron E3600LFPs and the 240V Hub, which allows you to connect the two units together.

Doing so would double all of those specs. Meaning your combined power station setup would have:

  • 7,200W of output power
  • 7,440Wh of battery capacity
  • Double the ports
  • Double the AC and solar input rates
  • True 240V capabilities

Plus, you’d have the option to split the units apart. So, you could leave one at home for backup power, take one on the road, or even just give it to a neighbor.

For nearly the same price as a single EcoFlow, Pecron gives you a system that’s bigger, more flexible, and way more versatile.

We genuinely think this is the best way to spend money on portable power right now. Honestly, it’s a ridiculous deal at full price, and that doesn’t even factor in sales or using our discount code through Pecron (THESOLARLAB5).

Our Final Verdict: The Numbers Favor EcoFlow, Value Favors Pecron

Unit for unit, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 comes out ahead because it has:

  • A bigger battery
  • Higher inverter output
  • Quieter operation
  • A sleeker design

Final Score (head-to-head): EcoFlow 8 – Pecron 5

However, when you factor in price and, more importantly, Pecron’s Dual E3600 240V Bundle, the value tilts heavily in Pecron’s favor.

For the cost of a single EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3, you can build a Pecron setup that is drastically ahead in terms of capacity, output, number of ports, charging speeds, flexibility and much more.

If it was our money, we’d go with that bundle deal, even if the DELTA Pro 3 did technically win our This or That showdown.
