Anker F3800 Plus vs. EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra: Which is the BEST in 2025?

The past couple of years have felt like a golden era for high-performance power stations. A lot of that is due to the fact that EcoFlow and Anker both released powerhouse units that have redefined what a portable power station can be.

The problem is choosing between the two brands can almost feel like picking between two sports cars. With either brand’s flagship power station you get clean looks, insane performance, plenty of features, and a price tag that really makes you question what you need.

Today, we’re pitting the freshly upgraded Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus against the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra to see which heavyweight power station is the better pick. We’ll compare specs, how they performed in our own tests, and assess the value you get with each unit.

So, let’s see which one is worth your hard-earned money. Spoiler Alert: the answer might surprise you.

Quick Specs Showdown

Before we get into the nitty-gritty of how these two heavyweights stack up against each other in terms of performance, let’s take a quick look at the numbers.

The Tiny Baby Lift Test™

These two units might be beasts, but it’s worth taking a moment to dive into how portable they actually are. Since no power station review is complete without the Tiny Baby Lift Test, we had to see what he thought about them.

Since the F3800 Plus clocks in at 136 lbs, it’s technically liftable for Tiny Baby, but not without a few tears. On the other hand, the DELTA Pro Ultra weighs in at 186 lbs total, so it's way too heavy to carry. But the design of the DELTA Pro Ultra actually helps here, as the unit actually splits into two pieces, with each weighing in at roughly 93 lbs. That’s still not light, but a lot of people could manage it.

We also have to mention the fact that the Anker unit was designed with built-in wheels and an extendable, suitcase-style handle. So, while the F3800 Plus might be a huge pain to lift, it’s still pretty easy to move around.

The main DELTA Pro Ultra unit does come with a little cart that features four caster wheels, and you also have the option to purchase a wheeled trolley that allows you to pull the unit much easier, but they don’t really compare to the built-in wheels and handle you get with the F3800 Plus when you’re assessing portability.

Price and Value Analysis

  • The Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus: At $3,199, it undercuts the DELTA Pro Ultra by $1,650. Add a single 3.84kWh expansion ($2,099) and you’re at $5,298 for roughly 7,680Wh of storage and a 6kW output, which is comparable to the specs you get with a standalone DELTA Pro Ultra, but you don't have to buy it all in one purchase.
  • The EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra: With a retail price of $4,849, it’s definitely the more expensive unit, even if it does go on sale pretty frequently. Pairing it with one 6.14kWh expansion ($2,499) brings you to $7,348 for roughly 12,288Wh of storage and 7.2kW of continuous output power. It’s expensive, but you’re getting insane power for your money.

Putting These Two Beasts to the Test

We’ve tested both of these units separately, so we’re not going to dive into the weeds too much here. Still, we wanted to see how they actually stack up in a head-to-head, so here’s a quick breakdown of how we think they compare in some key areas:

Continuous Output and Inverter Performance Testing:

  • Anker F3800 Plus: With its 6kW continuous output rating, it’s no surprise that this unit can handle a lot. But, in serious tests—running a hugely demanding compressor and then a car lift—the unit held firm with no throttling or noticeable hiccups—really impressive stuff.
  • EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra: In identical tests, the DELTA Pro Ultra matched its performance, but we did notice it occasionally stuttered and dipped when we really pushed it. We think it may have been running into some overheating issues when we pushed it over its inverter’s rated output, which explains this stuttering, especially when we were using it to power our car lift. We don’t think there was any risk that it was getting damaged, but this huge strain may have been triggering its built-in thermal management system.

Solar and AC Recharge Rates:

  • Anker F3800 Plus: The AC charge rate comes in at 3.2kW, means a full recharge in under 90 minutes. Solar charging can also hit 3.2kW with the right solar array. So, charge rates are pretty impressive.
  • EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra: It can AC charge at 5.6kW, which slashes the time it takes to charge it fully to roughly 60 minutes. The solar input also comes in at a crazy 5.6kW—outpacing virtually every competitor.

Outlet Variety and Convenience:

  • F3800 Plus: With six 120V outlets, dual USB-C PD ports, a 12V car socket, and two 15W USB-A ports, you get plenty of variety for gadgets, appliances, and accessories.
  • DELTA Pro Ultra: You get four 120V AC outlets and multiple high-power ports, but no dedicated 12V socket. In other words, it’s slightly less versatile for DC appliances or automotive accessories, but you still have plenty to work with.

Expansion Battery Scalability:

  • F3800 Plus: Each 3.84 kWh expansion pack adds capacity affordably; with a maximum of three packs pushing you near 16kWh.
  • DELTA Pro Ultra: Each 6.14kWh battery pack scales it to a monster storage capacity of 30kWh. The bigger packs cost more but deliver a larger single-unit bank, perfect for whole-home backup.

Where Each Unit Stands Out

Keep in mind that we have tested both of these units separately, so we don’t really need to dive too deep into the weeds here. If you want to learn more about either the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra or the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus, we have videos and articles where we reviewed each unit.

However, for the purposes of this comparison, let’s just take a look at where either unit stands out:

Where Anker F3800 Plus Takes the Lead

  1. Performance That Exceeds the Listed Specs:

When we put this thing up against some real-world load testing (our huge compressor, power tools, and much more), the F3800 Plus had a tendency to outperform what it should be capable of doing.

Even the DELTA Pro Ultra, which should be more powerful, struggled and stuttered when we tried to use it to run our loaded car lift. The Anker's surprising durability makes it a solid pick for demanding job sites or those planning to continuously run appliances.

  1. Superior Portability:

We already discussed the fact that the F3800 Plus is the clear winner for portability, but it’s worth repeating, especially given how many people choose power stations because they want a more portable and versatile option than a permanent setup.

With its built-in wheels, folding suitcase handle, and an extra rear handle for two-person lifting (or one very strong Tiny Baby), it’s surprisingly mobile for a 136 lb monster. Even though it was designed with home backup in mind, it would still be perfect for RVs, tailgating, or moving between job sites. Sure, you could do a lot of this with the Ultra, but you’d need to buy the dolly, and even then, it still wouldn't be as easy to move around.

  1. Lower Initial Price Point:

At $3,199, the F3800 Plus is quite a bit cheaper to get started with. Pair it with one 3,840Wh expansion pack (just $2,099) and you’re at roughly 7,680Wh for under $5,300. So,you can always start out with the basic unit, then expand your setup in the future when your budget becomes more flexible.

That’s not to say the DELTA Pro Ultra is overpriced—it certainly delivers on performance—but those who are budget-conscious or don’t plan on expanding into whole-home backup might be more drawn to the F3800 Plus’s more affordable price point.

  1. It Features a Handy 12V Car Socket:

With 12V plugs starting to disappear from power stations, especially these bigger units, the fact that the F3800 Plus has one almost feels like it features an often-overlooked convenience. A 12V port is ideal for a lot of portable fridges, pumps, and charging camping accessories.

We know a lot of people won’t make use of this, as the average buyer is probably looking at this unit exclusively for home backup purposes, but it’s still nice to know you have the option to run and charge 12V camping-style accessories if you want to.

  1. Future Accessory Options:

It’s a bit of an odd thing to highlight given that there aren’t currently many accessories available for the F3800 Plus, but Anker’s track record for making gadgets and extras for their products suggests they’ll soon offer plenty of extras for this thing.

The F3800 Plus even features a hidden side door that screams “expansion module and accessories coming soon.” We’d expect to see wireless charger plug-ins, an EV charger, and more in the near future, allowing buyers to upgrade and customize their setup.

Where EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra Shines

  1. Raw Power and Scalability:

The 7,200W continuous output (vs. 6,000W) gives you extra headroom for large homes or heavy-duty equipment. With its sleek and modular design, you can easily stack multiple batteries and secure them to the wall for robust off-grid or whole-house backup.

  1. Much Higher Solar Input:

With a massive 5,600W solar input, the DELTA Pro Ultra charges incredibly fast with large scale solar arrays. Whether you’re running a fully sun-dependent off-grid setup or just want to be able to keep your system running when you lose grid power, it’s a huge advantage.

  1. It Features a True 30 Amp Output:

Its dedicated 30A twist-lock outlet delivers the full 7,200W (vs. F3800’s limited 25A output), ensuring RVs and campers avoid power supply issues.

  1. More Advanced Smart Home Integration:

The EcoFlow App and optional Smart Home Panel 2 allow time-of-use scheduling, grid sell-back, generator auto-start, and networked monitoring—perfect for homeowners seeking seamless hybrid solar/grid setups.

Speaking of more advanced usability, the EcoFlow Smart App still beats pretty much anything out there. It makes it super easy to connect your power station to your smartphone or tablet, so you can control and monitor your power station remotely. Don’t get us wrong, Anker’s still works well, but they have some work to do if they want to go toe-to-toe with EcoFlow in the smart app department.

  1. The Current Accessory Options:

We just praised Anker for releasing a huge variety of accessories and upgrades for their products, but as of now, there isn’t much available for the F3800 Plus. We have good reason to believe they’ll launch a bunch of cool stuff for that unit in the future, but that’s still just speculation.

For now, the EcoFlow unit has its Anker counterpart beat for accessories. From EV charging adapters to generator cords, the Smart Home Panel, and much more, EcoFlow’s ecosystem is expansive and battle-tested. Everything’s plug-and-play, so it’s super easy to expand and upgrade your power station setup.

EcoFlow also wins for expansion affordability. The Anker expansion batteries do offer plenty of value, but the DELTA Pro Ultra was built with modular expandability in mind, so you can easily stack up batteries and turn this thing into a 30kWh tower of power.

So, Which Should You Buy?

The good news? Both of these are kick-a** power stations. This didn’t exactly come as a surprise, as both units still rank amongst our favorites, but it’s nice to know you can’t really go wrong with either unit from a buyer's perspective.

Still, there are certain types of buyers and scenarios where either type would pull ahead. So, rather than crown a champ, let’s review who should buy what:

Go with the Anker F3800 Plus if…

  • You need a more portable system that you can wheel around the house, stash in an RV closet, or toss in the back of the truck for a tailgate party.
  • You’re on a tighter budget but still want top-tier surge performance and rapid charging.
  • You plan to scale moderately and appreciate upcoming accessories and future-proofing.

Go with the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra if…

  • You want to maximize your continuous output power (7.2kW vs. 6kW). This is particularly relevant for those with whole-home backup in mind.
  • You’re looking for a huge solar input, or you want a true 30 Amp outlet for RV living.
  • You plan to grow into a multi-component system with the Smart Home Panel for hands-off hybrid/grid integration.

Basically, whichever you choose, you can’t go wrong—but pick the one that fits your lifestyle (and budget) best!
